The Obstacle Is The Way by Ryan Holiday
While most people know about IQ and FQ, very rarely do people have a good understanding of EQ (emotional intelligence) and SQ (spiritual intelligence). This book and all of Ryan Holiday’s work has opened me up to a strong level of emotional intelligence and the more your grow the more you will challenge yourself and life around you and having a great EQ can help you with this. 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris
I started reading this book 1 year after I started my first website business and it just helped me grow that much faster, simply by opening my eyes to so many possibilities. This is a great book to start to change your mind about how you can remove yourself from swapping your time for money and leveraging different strategies to make money and work less.
Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini
Any person who is in sales and marketing, which is ALL business owners and entrepreneurs. Should learn and understand human behaviour and psychology to and understand how we as humans behave. It’s fascinating to know, but also a very powerful tool you can and should only use to better other peoples lives with your products and services.
Purple Cow by Seth Godin
Seth Godin is one thought leader I certainly look up to and had never heard of prior to reading this book. I started reading this book as I surfed my way around Mexico once and the inspiration for marketing my business just oozed out of me and really fired me up to take action. This book is nothing short of beautiful marketing material and wisdom.
Good To Great by Jim Collins
Although this book focuses heavily on large corporate companies, the principals I took from this book have helped me immensely in how I scale my business. Best part of all, it’s not all about me and my business, but who I have on the bus and working with me. Pick up the book and you will see exactly what I mean.
The One Thing by Gary Keller
A few years ago a man who makes $1M per week, once a mentor of mine who always credited me for my questions threw this book at me whilst we were talking together at a seminar and said “you need to read this”. I took so many notes from this book and implemented almost over 50% of the strategies and idea’s behind this. If I could explain this book in 1 word it would be WOW! Sure it’s not the cheapest book, but boy does it pack a punch and deliver far more value than most books that are over 500 pages. If you want a perfect formula or script to base all your copywriting off, get this book. It is hands down the best copywriting book you can buy, just do yourself a favour.
